Linton & Associates, LLC, an employee benefits specialist agency serving New Mexico and the surrounding states, announced that the recent 2012 SHRM New Mexico Conference that was held March 26-27th at the Sandia Resort & Casino in Albuquerque was a great success. Linton & Associates, LLC was one of many sponsors at this year’s conference, which also benefited the Special Olympics of New Mexico, the community partner for the event. Special Olympics athletes and volunteers made the event extraordinary by assisting the conference committee in introducing and presenting gifts to speakers and presenting an inspiring program at the first day’s luncheon. Some proceeds of the conference will go to help the local Special Olympics’ organization.
Keynote speakers at this year’s conference featured:
- Stuart Crabb, Head of Learning and Development at Facebook;
- Mike Jones, President of Discover Leadership Training, Inc.; and
- Pamela Green, SPHR, Vice President of U.S. Membership for SHRM.
The conference brought together the best and the brightest in the field of Human Resources to share their insights, knowledge, and trends while the sold-out exhibitor section also offered information on services, tools, solutions and expertise from many HR vendors. In addition to the networking opportunities and additional events, this year’s conference also had a video conference. The winner was ARA with their “How Do We Stay on Top of Our HR Game?”
The conference was also pre-approved for HRCI recertification credit, which offered participants the opportunity to receive up to 10 credits from attending the many keynote and break-out sessions. The SHRM New Mexico Conference also provided a way for attorneys to get continuing legal education (CLE) credits through their attendance. Approval was given by the New Mexico MCLE Board for a five continuing legal education credits for the legal update sessions that were featured at this year’s conference.
Planning is already underway for next year’s conference, and Linton & Associates LLC is committed to further participation. More details will be announced at a later date.
