Angelina Jolie cried when Brad Pitt proposed to her in front of their six children, an insider tells Us Weekly magazine. Pitt popped the question with a custom designed ring estimated to be at least 16 carats. It took jeweler Robert Procop a year to complete the ring.

"Everyone hugged once she put [the ring] on. She went around and showed it to each of the kids,” the source tells Us.

Jolie, 36, debuted her ring on April 11 during a visit to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art with Pitt and son Pax, 8.

Meanwhile, Pitt’s ex-wife Jennifer Aniston is said to be happy about his engagement. A source said the actress is “trying to just focus on her own happiness” with boyfriend Justin Theroux. “Jen is not a bitter person and she has always wanted Brad to be happy,” the source added.

Aniston and Pitt divorced in 2005 after 5 years of marriage. Pitt and Jolie confirmed their romance in January 2006 by announcing they were expecting their first child together.
