Stephen Collins, who is perhaps best known for playing Reverend Eric Camden on 7th Heaven, is ending his 27 year marriage to actress Faye Grant. The actor confirmed the split in a statement to Us Weekly magazine.

“My wife and I are moving forward separately in our lives. She has been my dearest friend and a loving mother. I know that we'll go through this process in a way that honors our family,” he said.

Collins, 64, and Grant, 54, tied the knot in April 1985. They have a daughter named Kate.

Collins most recently starred on No Ordinary Family, Brothers & Sisters and Private Practice.
