Actor Nick Stahl is safe and is seeking treatment at an undisclosed rehab facility, his estranged wife Rose has confirmed. The Terminator 3 star was reported missing last Monday by Rose. She told police she had been unable to reach Stahl since seeing him on Wednesday, May 9. The actor reached out to friends through e-mail on Saturday.
In a new blog post, Rose opened up about Stahl’s disappearance and his decision to enter rehab. "Though I cannot stand any and every minute of this, I have to find a silver lining, and just maybe, someone else suffering will be able to think, or understand that this is not in every case a moral issue," she wrote. "That addiction does not care who you are, how talented, how famous. How good. And most importantly, that there is a solution. And it's simple. Almost too simple."
"Sometimes a tormented soul such as Nick's, at times myself included, cannot grasp that the solution is so basic," Rose added.
Stahl, 32, split from Rose in January. She indicated in court papers filed in February that Stahl may have a drug addiction problem. Rose requested his weekly visits with their 2-year-old daughter Marlo be preceded by a negative drug and alcohol test. She also asked that a judge require the visits to be supervised and limited to a total of 8 hours each week.
Stahl’s recent films include How To Rob A Bank, Quid Pro Quo and Mirrors 2. He made a guest appearance on the HBO series House of Lies earlier this year.
