Kent Is the Award-winning Director of LIFE OF LEMON and Co-director of THE PERFECT HOUSE and SHADOW OF THE MONARCH
Dawna Lee Heising of Eye on Entertainment interviewed award-winning filmmaker Randy Kent at Polymedia Entertainment Studios in Orange, CA in June 2012. Kent, an Atlanta native, moved to Hollywood more than a decade ago to pursue his lifelong passion of making films. Before doing his own projects, Kent worked as a set decorator and P.A. on numerous commercials and independent films. He notes that the variety of jobs he performed in and around the film industry all were valuable learning experiences. Kent has written, produced, and directed numerous shorts and commercials in the past fourteen years, including the feature, "Life of Lemon" which took home the Silver Ace Award at the Las Vegas International Film Festival (2011).
Kent’s extensive resume includes four feature films for which he served as both producer and director. Kent co-directed the independent horror anthology, “The Perfect House,” with writer and co-director Kris Hulbert. The Perfect House is a horror anthology that explores the different motives for violence through the different sub genres of horror. The Perfect House franchise depicts true horror and the anonymity it hides behind.
