Just two days after announcing Meta Golding will play District 2 Quarter Quell tribute Enobaria in Catching Fire, Lionsgate has released some more casting news. The studio reveals Alan Ritchson, who is perhaps best known for his roles on Smallville and Blue Mountain State, will play District 1 Quarter Quell tribute Gloss. It is still not known who will play Gloss’ sister and fellow tribute, Cashmere.
Last month, Philip Seymour Hoffman was cast as head gamemaker Plutarch Heavensbee, while Amanda Plummer was chosen to play District 3 tribute Wiress and Jena Malone signed on to play District 7 tribute Johanna Mason. Lynn Cohen landed the role of District 4 tribute Mags last week.
Jennifer Lawrence will return to play Katniss Everdeen, while Josh Hutcherson will reprise his role as Peeta Mellark and Liam Hemsworth will reprise his role as Gale Hawthorne. Francis Lawrence will replace Gary Ross as director. Catching Fire is set to hit theaters on November 22, 2013.
