Chicken With Plums, starring Mathieu Amalric, Edouard Baer, Maria de Medeiros, Golshifteh Farahani and Eric Caravaca, opens in theaters Friday, August 31. The drama centers on a celebrated musician who decides life is not worth living after his beloved violin is broken.

The film has a runtime of 1 hour 31 minutes and is rated PG 13 for violent images, sensuality, some drug content and smoking.
