It looks like Khloe Kardashian may rack up yet another reality TV credit. TMZ.com reports Kardashian is a top pick to become the new host of The X Factor. Kardashian previously said hosting The X Factor is “definitely something that I would love to do and would be honored to do.”

On Wednesday, producer and judge Simon Cowell said he hopes to add a female host and a male host. "That will make it more interesting. There's so much talking on these shows, 11 or 12 minutes.. You've got to mix it up a little bit,” the former American Idol judge told reporters. “I kind of know what we're looking for, but that's why we screen-tested people.”

Cowell says the hosting spots are expected to be filled within the next week.

Original X Factor host Steven Jones was let go along with judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger after the lukewarm response to season 1 last year. Show bosses replaced Abdul and Scherzinger with Britney Spears and Demi Lovato. Cowell and L.A. Reid retained their places at the judge’s table. The second season is set to premiere on Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET.
