Bachelorette fan favorite Sean Lowe is getting another shot at finding love on TV. ABC confirms the Dallas insurance salesman is the new Bachelor. Lowe, 29, reportedly beat out Bachelorette winner Roberto Martinez and runner-up Arie Luyendyk Jr. for the position.
Blogger Reality Steve, who provides spoilers for numerous reality shows, reports filming began several weeks ago at Lowe’s Texas home. “I expect this to be part of his video package in the beginning where we hear voice overs of him talking about how he knows the process can work, he's excited about finding a wife, and saying the exact same things the 24 previous leads before him have said, all while walking the streets of Dallas aimlessly looking into the sky and pondering deep thoughts in his head,” Reality Steve writes.
Lowe won the hearts of fans when he competed for Emily Maynard on The Bachelorette earlier this year. Maynard ended up accepting a proposal from finalist Jef Holm. After the season finale, Lowe told People magazine he was definitely open to trying to find love on The Bachelor. "I'm an open-minded optimist, and I believe the process can work. If I found my wife, it would be worth it,” he said.
The next season of The Bachelor is set to premiere in January 2013.
