After receiving his degree from Columbia University, Clive started in the advertising industry at Fuller, Smith, and Ross. Clive eventually moved on to co-found Lois Chajet Design Group with advertising legend George Lois. There, Clive crafted his skill in creating distinctive ideas for the clients’ brands.
Clive’s knowledge in branding led him to become director and eventually chairman at the infamous Lippincott & Margulies. “Lippincott & Margulies is considered to be the company that invented the discipline of corporate identity. My teacher, Walter Margulies invented corporate identity,” exclaims Chajet.
With Lippincott & Margulies, Chajet helped create corporate names, logos, and branding strategies for enormous companies such as Goldman and Sachs, Coca-Cola, and Xerox to name a few.
