Another royal wedding is in the works. Princess Madeleine of Sweden is set to wed her boyfriend of 2 years, American financier Chris O’Neill. The royal family announced the engagement Thursday on their website. The wedding will be held next summer in Sweden.

"Chris proposed to me at the beginning of October. It was a very romantic and intimate proposal. We are both extremely happy," Madeleine, 30, said in an interview at Drottningholm Palace.

"I had been thinking about proposing for a while, but I wanted to wait until the right moment," O’Neill said. "I have been sure all along that Madeleine was the one I wanted to marry."

O’Neill said he already feels like he is a part of the royal family. “They have been extremely welcoming to me and I felt part of the family right from the very beginning. Madeleine´s family is very warm and we have a very good time when we all see each other,” he added.

Madeleine, who was previously engaged to lawyer Jonas Bergstrom, is the youngest child of King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia. She is fourth in line to the throne.
