Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) division BioWare, has announced that Mass Effect 2 has sold more than 2 million units in just its first week of release. Mass Effect 2 has earned an average review score of 96, for its intense shooter gameplay, and deep story, making it the second highest rated game ever for the Xbox 360 platform.

On the day of its launch, Mass Effect was the most searched keyword on Google News. MSNBC.com commented on it saying,
