General Dynamics Receives Contract from the U.S. Army TACOM Lifecycle Management Command

General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) Land Systems has received a contract from the U.S. Army TACOM Lifecycle Management Command for the Royal Saudi Land Forces. The contract received was for $7 million to continue to design the new Saudi M1A2 (M1A2S) Abrams tank for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This contract comes in addition to a $58 million contract to design, develop, convert, implement and test a hybrid configuration of the tank variants. The M1A2S vehicles will possess increased power while limiting obsolescence.
