Northrop Grumman Corp.(NYSE: NOC) has received a five year contract from the U.S. Army for $599 million. The company will provide the U.S. Army with laser equipment. The lightweight laser designator rangefinders can target enemy positions during the day or night and in haze, smoke, fog and rain. The system is able to recognize a target, find the range to that target and calculate a precise location.
