William A. Osborn is Elected as a Director of the Corporation

General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) has elected William A. Osborn as a director of the corporation. Mr. Osborne will assume the position on December 1, 2009. Osborn is a director and chairman of the Northern Trust Corporation. Osborn joined with Northern Trust in 1970 and was named president and chief operating officer in December 1993. In June 1995 he was named chief executive officer. Osborn will retire from his position of the board of directors for Northern Trust in November 2009.
