L-3 Communications Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:LLL) is expected to report third-quarter earnings of $1.86 a share, according to analysts surveyed by FactSet Research. L-3 Communications Holdings, Inc. (L-3 Holdings), through its wholly owned subsidiary, L-3 Communications Corporation(L-3), is a prime system contractor in aircraft modernization and maintenance (AM&M), command, control, communications, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C3ISR) systems, and government services. L-3 is also a provider of technology products, subsystems and systems.
Valero Energy Corporation (NYSE:VLO) is likely to report a third-quarter loss of 33 cents a share, according to analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters. Valero Energy Corporation, incorporated in 1981, owns and operates 16 refineries located in the United States, Canada, and Aruba that produce conventional gasolines, distillates, jet fuel, asphalt, petrochemicals, lubricants, and other refined products, as well as a slate of premium products, including conventional blendstock for oxygenate blending (CBOB) and reformulated gasoline blendstock for oxygenate blending (RBOB).
