United States Steel Corporation (NYSE: X) announced that Senior VP-Public Policy & Governmental Affairs, Terrence D. Straub, 63, has elected to retire after 28 years of service with the company. Terry's retirement from the company will go into effect on November 30, 2009. He joined U.S. Steel in 1981 as manager-governmental affairs in the Washington D.C., office. From 1977 to 1981, he served as Special Assistant for congressional affairs to President Jimmy Carter.
