Yamana Gold Inc. (USA) (NYSE:AUY) made a new 52-week high at $13.49 and now up 1.82% to $13.42. Yamana Gold Inc. is a Canada-based gold producer engaged in gold mining and related activities, including exploration, extraction, processing and reclamation. It has significant properties involved in gold production, gold development, exploration and land positions throughout the Americas, including Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Central America.
Teck Cominco Limited (USA) (NYSE:TCK) touched a new 52-week high at $34.91 in morning trade. Currently the stock is trading at $34.81, up 1.93%. The company announced that it has completed its acquisition of 78.8% of the Morelos Gold Project from Teck Resources Limited through the acquisition of Oroteck Mexico S.A. C.V. from Teck subsidiaries, Teck Metals Ltd. and Teck Exploration Ltd. (collectively Teck) for a purchase price of USD150 million, 1,560,857 common shares and 12,443,218 special warrants. Gleichen also announced that Fred Stanford has been appointed as President and Chief Executive Officer of Gleichen in place of Michael Murphy (who will remain as a Director of Gleichen).
Eldorado Gold Corporation (USA) (NYSE:EGO) made a new high at $14.15 and now up 1.17% and trades at $13.85. Eldorado Gold Corporation (Eldorado) is a gold producer engaged in gold mining and related activities including exploration, development, extraction, processing and reclamation.
