Royal Caribbean International Name Seven Godmothers of Oasis of the Seas

Royal Caribbean International (NYSE: RCL) officially named their newest cruise ship, Oasis of the Seas. The company has also decided to put a twist on one of maritime's longstanding traditions by bestowing seven godmothers to the ship rather than just one.

The seven godmothers chosen will include Gloria Estefan, Michelle Kwan, Jane Seymore, Dara Torres, Keisha Knight Pulliam, Shawn Johnson and Daisy Fuentes. The seven women will take their posts to officially name the ship at a ceremony during a one-night inaugural celebration-fundraiser onboard the Oasis of the Seas to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
