Patriot Coal Corporation (NYSE: PCX) has appointed Philip A. Brandt as Vice President of Employee Services. Mr. Brandt will report to Joseph W. Bean, Senior VP- Law & Administration. In this role he will be responsible for employee relations, compensation and benefits. He comes to this position with over 19 years of industry experience. He holds an MBA from Lindenwood University and a Bachelor of Science in Safety Management from Central Missouri State University.
