...Refrigerated Pudding Pioneer Launches No Sugar Added Line of "By Request"
Puddings

November 1, 2005, Hicksville, New York - Kozy Shack Enterprises, Inc., a leading United States refrigerated pudding manufacturer, announced today its in-store 2005 summer/fall campaign with Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Canada (JDRFC), which ended yesterday, raised $11,700 CDN in support of JDRFC's research efforts to cure diabetes and raise awareness of the disease. Kozy Shack Canada National Sales Manager Bernard Gauthier presented a check on behalf of the company to Ron Forbes, President and CEO, JDRFC (photo available).

"We at Kozy Shack are glad to have worked with Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation on this successful campaign," said Mr. Gauthier, "we know our contribution will go towards the best diabetes research in the world to find a cure for the more than 200,000 Canadians currently living with the most severe form of diabetes, juvenile or type 1 diabetes."

Celebrating the Kozy Shack By Request Canadian launch, the company donated $0.10 CDN of every By Request pudding purchase made in various Canadian supermarkets during August, September and October 2005 to support JDRFC.

"They asked for it, and Kozy Shack delivered!" says Kozy Shack Senior Product Manager Cindy Fitton of the no sugar added, gluten free refrigerated puddings created in response to requests from people living with diabetes.
"Now, Canadians living with diabetes and consumers watching sugar intake can indulge in an old-fashioned comfort food without sacrificing taste and health."

By Request puddings, made with real milk, are a good source of calcium and fiber, low in sodium, have no hydrogenated oils, artificial colors or flavors, have zero grams of trans fat and are kosher and vegetarian.

Sweetened with Splenda , By Request puddings are slow-cooked using Kozy Shack's proprietary kettle-cooking process. Flavors include rice pudding, tapioca and chocolate. Puddings are packaged in environmentally-friendly four-pack sleeves of single-serve 113g cups. Average retail price is $3.99 CDN.
By Request puddings, first available in British Columbia and the Atlantic Region in March 2005, are now also found in the dairy section of supermarkets in Quebec and Ontario. These are the only no sugar added refrigerated puddings available in Canadian supermarkets.

JDRF acknowledges the support of its sponsors; however this acknowledgement does not constitute an endorsement of the sponsoring organization's products or services.
