Sandra Bullock, who collected the best actress Academy Award on March 7 for her work in the film “The Blind Side,” has announced she will not be attending the film’s premiere in the UK which has led to the cancelation of the event.

While Bullock did not specify why she was not attending Warner Brothers has said “unforeseen circumstances” forced her to forgo the trip.

The premiere of “The Blind Side” was scheduled for next Tuesday in London but with the Academy Award winner not attending organizers opted to nix the event. The film will still be released on March 27.

Bullock was to appear alongside her co-star Quinton Aaron, the young man who played the role of Michael Oher in the film.
