Michael Vick to Face Sentencing Monday

Atlanta, Ga. 12/09/2007 07:32 PM GMT (FINDITT)

Michael Vick, the suspended quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons and target of numerous animal rights groups, will go before a judge on Monday to hear the length of his prison sentence.

It has been just over two-weeks since Vick turned himself in to federal authorities to begin serving a sentence that  could be as long as five years. While Vick’s sentence isn’t expected to be so severe, many believe he could get longer than the 12 to 18 months recommended by federal guidelines.

Vick pled guilty in August to a federal dogfighting charge after his co-defendants turned on him and told federal investigators of his involvement in their dogfighting operation.
