Miss France Facing Scrutiny Over Crucifixion Photo

Valerie Begue has held the title of Miss France for just two weeks but her reign may be nearing an end as organizers of the competition have called on the beauty to quit after photos surfaced of the 22-year-old that may have violated pageant requirements.

As part of the competition all entrants are required to sign a form stating they have never been photographed fully nude or in a compromising position. Genvieve de Fontenay, organizer of the competition, said Begue did just that when she posed for a photo in which she appeared crucified while in a swimming pool.

de Fontenay was also disturbed by another photograph in which Begue was caught licking yogurt out of a pot.

Shortly after the photos surfaced Begue stated she had no plans of stepping down as Miss France but has since said she would take time to reflect on the situation before making a decision.
