Britney Spears to star in new film

Britney Spears is reportedly in talks with producers to star in a new film, ‘Memoirs of a Medicated Child.’ Spears will play the role of a girlfriend of a misdiagnosed medical paitent who must appear in court to fight custody battles. She will star opposite Ross Tyler.

Reports say Lindsay Lohan was first cast for the role, but it was decided Spears was a better choice as her personal life is very similar to the characters problems. Spears is currently in a messy custody battle with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. She is only allowed two supervised visits with her sons per week.

“As far as Britney’s concerned, we’re talking,” said Tommy Parker, CEO of the production company 2 Guys and a Dream Films.

“A letter of intent from Britney was received very recently. Lindsay Lohan was originally offered the part because they thought she’d be a better actor, but they changed their mind and wanted Britney instead,” added one source. “I think it’s pretty unbelievable considering what the script is about – prescription drug use, ADHD meds and all that – considering what Britney’s been through. Everyone’s excited to have her join the cast.”

While Lohan was said to have been offered the script, a source close to the film revealed that Spears was in fact their first choice strongly belived in her acting abilities.

The film is said to be based on the true story of Mark Black. Black was wrongfully diagnosed and imprisoned.
