Atlanta, GA 1/16/2008 11:18 PM GMT (FINDITT)
The Indianapolis Colts fans made national attention this weekend after booing 14-year old Anna Grant during their playoff game Sunday.
Grant beat out 32 others to become a finalist for the NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick competition. A four-time veteran, she won two qualifiers at Gillette Stadium as a 9- and 10-year old, finished fourth at Gillette two years ago, and tied for third in last year's national competition.
The Stratham, Mass. native was announced with the rest of the finalists at halftime of their playoff game against the San Diego Chargers. The announcer called each by their name, hometown and represented NFL team.
Grant was wearing a New England Patriots jersey and was announced as representative of the team. The Colts fans, who have developed a deep rivalry with the Patriots in recent years, booed Grant throughout her announcement.
