Advantage Route Systems today announced the formation of a new business unit dedicated to providing tools and services for Route Engineering, Route Mapping and Route Planning. Lloyd Worth, a seasoned veteran with over a decade of experience in this area has been tapped as the Route Engineering Group Manager. The primary aim is for ARS to expand its offering in this important market as more of its customers look forward to more technical tools to modernize their routing operations. With increasing fuel costs, dwindling margins and higher labor turnover, there have never been more demands placed onto delivery companies.
ARS is addressing those needs with a family of software products and the most advanced services team of any major software vendor. Mr. Worth has spent the last decade providing route engineering support services to Sierra Springs, Hinckley and Schmitt, Suntory and Culligan. His knowledge of the bottled water delivery business is exceptional and he is eager to apply his skills with ARS customers.
Company president, David W. Kroutil, also announced an update to its existing routing products: Advanced Mapping and RDEX (Route Data Exchange). RDEX now includes an interface to Symphony – a high tech route optimization tool - from MobileIQ of Boulder, Colorado. “Over the next few months, we will continue to release more quality products and even more services to support our customers in this critical area”, he said.
