Amy Ryan Nominated for Actress in a Supporting Role in “Gone Baby Gone” at 80TH Academy Awards

Amy Ryan will be looking to win her first Oscar Award on Feb. 24 after earning a nomination for Actress in a Supporting Role for her performance in the film “Gone Baby Gone.”


 


Ryan portrays the drug-addicted mother of a young girl who has disappeared. After an investigation into the girl’s disappearance is launched Ryan’s role in the case becomes disturbingly clear.


 


This is Ryan’s first Academy Award nomination.


 


Joining Amy Ryan in the list of nominees for Actress in a Supporting Role are Cate Blanchett, “I’m Not There”; Ruby Dee, “American Gangster”; Saoirse Ronan, “Atonement”; and Tilda Swinton, “Michael Clayton.”


 


The 80th Academy Awards will air Feb. 24 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
