Justine Henin still has some work to do with her serve but the Belgian was just too much for Klara Zakopalova on Friday as she knocked off the Czech 6-3, 6-3 to advance into the third round at the French Open.
Henin totaled six double faults but managed to collect points on 76 percent of her first serves put in play and surrendered just one break point. In comparison, Zakopalova won just 49 percent of her first serves put in play and had her serve broken four times.
Henin left competitive tennis in 2008 after winning seven Grand Slam singles titles. The 27-year-old Belgian won the Australian Open in 2004, the U.S. Open in 2004 and 2007, and the French Open in 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007. She reached the finals at Wimbledon twice but fell to Venus Williams in 2001 and Amélie Mauresmo in 2006; both matches went three sets.
