Joel Coen and Ethan Coen Earn Director Nomination for “No Country for Old Men” at 80TH Academy Awards

Joel Coen and Ethan Coen each have an opportunity to pick up their second Oscar Award on Feb. 24 after earning a nomination for Director for the film “No Country for Old Men.”


 


Both Joel and Ethan Coen have earned six Academy Award nominations including a nomination for Adapted Screenplay for “No Country for Old Men” and a nomination for Film Editing under the pseudonym Roderick Jaynes


 


Joining Joel and Ethan Coen in the list of nominees for Director are Julian Schnabel, “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly”; Tony Gilroy, “Michael Clayton”; Jason Reitman, “Juno”; and Paul Thomas Anderson, “There Will Be Blood.”


 


The 80th Academy Awards will air Feb. 24 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
