Christopher Hampton has received an Oscar nomination at the 80th Academy Awards for Adapted Screenplay for the film “Atonement.”
Hampton will be looking to capture his second Academy Award on Feb. 24; he won in 1988 for Adapted Screenplay for the film “Dangerous Liaisons.”
Joining Christopher Hampton in the list of nominees for Adapted Screenplay are Sarah Polley, “Away from Her”; Ronald Harwood, “The Diving Bell and the Butterfly”; Ethan Coen and Joel Coen, “No Country for Old Men”; and Paul Thomas Anderson, “There Will Be Blood.”
The 80th Academy Awards will air Feb. 24 at 8:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
