Ford Recalls Nearly Half-Million Mustangs Due to Air Bag Issue
Atlanta, Ga. 2/28/2008 06:02 PM GMT (FINDITT)
Ford Motor Co. has recalled 470,000 Ford Mustangs due to safety concerns surrounding the deployment of air bags from the passenger side of the vehicle.
Ford Mustangs from 2005-2008 are the chief concern for the recall due to the possibility the air bag could injure an unbelted passenger. While no reports of injuries have been made the Dearborn, Michigan company has taken steps to recalibrate the force of the air bag.
Owners of a Ford Mustang will be notified of the steps that should be taken through the mail.
