Eve Carson, Lauren Burk Shootings May Be Connected

The murders of Eve Carson and Lauren Burk, two female college students who were killed over the last two days in separate accounts, may be connected.
Carson, a 22-year old senior at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, was found dead campus Wednesday morning. She was identified Thursday.
Carson, the student body president at UNC, was found shot multiple times in the head about a half-mile from campus. Police have issued a bulletin for Carson's blue 2005 Toyota Highlander.
Burk, an 18-year old freshman at Auburn University, was found a mile from campus with a single gunshot wound. Police found her while responding to a call about an injured woman.
Burk was taken to East Alabama Medical Center, where she lated died. Police found Burk’s 2001 black Honda Civic on fire in a campus parking lot.
Chapel Hill and Auburn police have been in contact to see if the shootings are connected. No results has been announced to say if there is or is not a connection yet.
Both students were young women who were both social yet had no enemies, according to friends of Carson and Burk. They both were shot in the head, but their cars were not close to their bodies.
