Acme Comedy Club to Host Three Robin Williams Shows This Week

Robin Williams will host three comedy shows at Acme Comedy Club in Minneapolis, MN this week.

Williams will utilize the quaint atmosphere of Acme to hone his skills before his big show in Las Vegas. His Vegas show will be on May 25 at MGM Grand.

Tickets went on sale Monday, May 5 at 10 am with three shows scheduled Tues., May 6 through Thurs., May 8. The shows are at 8:00 p.m. and tickets cost $50 each. The tickets are also available on the Ticket Web website, located at TicketWeb.com.

The Minneapolis website for Craiglist offered as much as $100 per ticket to anyone willing to sell tickets, but Acme posted a warning Monday afternoon against buying tickets from scalpers, citing a lack of authenticity.

The last time Williams played the Twin Cities was in April 2002, when he sold out shows at the Guthrie Theatre and Northrop Auditorium.

According to the Acme Comedy Club website, it is one of the top five comedy clubs in the country.
