Angelina Jolie and Clint Eastwood were welcomed to a warm round of applause as their movie "Changeling" premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday.
Eastwood directed "Changeling", a movie set in 1920s California about a single mother whose son vanishes. The film, which will be entitled "The Exchange" from now on, tells the story of Christine Collins (Jolie) whose nine-year-old son Walter goes missing.
After several months, the Los Angeles Police Department finds a boy who they say is Walter, but Collins knew he was not her son.
The movie tells the tale of how Collins fought to prove that the LAPD was corrupt and did whatever they could do to make her son's case disappear.
Jolie arrived in Cannes last week to promote her animated film "Kung Fu Panda". While in the French city, she confirmed that she was indeed pregnant with twins, adding to the budding family she has with husband Brad Pitt.
Jolie said that her role as Collins became more personal after her own mother, actress Marcheline Bertrand, died last year. Jolie based much of her role as Collins on her own mother.
The movie, which also stars John Malkovich, was produced by Brian Grazer and Ron Howard.
