Vonage Holdings Corp. (Vonage) is a provider of broadband Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services to residential and small business and home office customers. The Company services the United States, Canada and United Kingdom. Vonage's customers can make and receive calls using a standard telephone plugged into a portable Vonage-enabled device almost anywhere a broadband Internet connection is available. The Company transmits these calls using VoIP technology, which converts voice signals into digital data packets for transmission over the Internet.
Vonage provides service by using its customers’ existing broadband Internet connections, eliminating the need for it to build or lease networks.
