Dancing with the Stars: Brooke Burke Keeps Lead Despite Injury

Brooke Burke’s future on Dancing with the Stars was uncertain after she injured her foot in rehearsals over the weekend, but the supermodel toughed it out and remained in the lead. Her performance on Monday earned a near-perfect score of 29 points. Their Jitterbug was described as “vigorous, upbeat and perfect.”

Only one point behind was ‘Hannah Montana’ Cody Linley. He and partner Julianne also danced the jitterbug and judges thought the performance was full of charisma.

Maurice Greene scored 27 out of 30 points for his salsa. Warren Sapp wasn’t far behind with 25 points for his jitterbug.

Susan Lucci’s performance was given a 22 as her partner Tony was told he needed to stop making the routines so slow. Toni Braxton tied with Lucci. Her West Coast Swing was described as “all over the place” and the Michael Jackson song didn’t fit the dance.

Judges seemed prepared to slam Lance Bass’ West Coast Swing. They thought his partner Lacey did most of the dancing and gave then only 21 points. Cloris Leachman tied with Bass. Her salsa was praised for her “rolls and spins.”

Another star will be eliminated tonight.
