Robert Pattinson Increases Security on New Moon Set

Robert Pattinson has reportedly hired two members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police as he films the Twilight sequel New Moon in Vancouver.

According to reports, constables Brendon Baillant and Brandon Builziuk were hired to protect Pattinson from mobs of teenage girls that gathered near the set.

“It was an unusual mission, but our remit was to keep the fans off the set,” says Baillant. “Everything went well on the first day, but then a group of teenage girls got a little too close when the filming moved to the Long Beach area of the island. They were totally miffed with us when we told them that they could not get any closer, however, their spirits lifted when Kristen Stewart came over to pose for a few photographs with them.”

New Moon, which is due out in November, also stars Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning.
