TWNpeople has announced it will be uploading Groups as a featured tool to its site in the coming hours. Groups are an excellent way of creating business and social networking environments that benefit its members. From a group, members have a platform to voice their opinion, interact with others with a common interest, share information, post news and upload pictures for group members.

Groups allow members an opportunity to interact with individuals they might not otherwise meet. By providing a venue in which members can share their interests, a community can be established. Groups can be created to discuss literature, or focus on a favorite sports team. They can be designed for involvement in community outreach programs or environmental projects. They can be dedicated to a specific genre of music or a particular band. Companies and businesses can create a group that relates to their work environment.

The categories currently established cover fourteen headings including Schools, Bands, Fan Clubs, Interest Groups, Government, Friends, and Community. These categories will then house individual groups that can be created by a member. The group creator has the option of designating their group as public or private. A public group allows for any member to join while a private group receives a request from the member who wishes to join.
