ANGEL® Learning, a leading provider of enterprise eLearning software and services, today announced that Lone Star College System (LSCS) in Texas, one of the largest community college systems in the country, is adopting the ANGEL Learning Management Suite (LMS). LSCS will implement the ANGEL LMS through LSCS’ online learning division, Lone Star College-Online, for support of web-enhanced courses and hybrid instruction and to power online learning.

“The Lone Star College System is committed to providing students the most successful online learning experience possible,” said William Durham, associate vice chancellor for Lone Star College-Online. “ANGEL’s user-friendly interface will be the first change students and faculty will experience as we transition to the ANGEL LMS. Behind the scenes, advanced ANGEL functionality including Learning Object Repositories and Learning Outcomes Management will positively impact how LSC-Online enhances instructional support for faculty and will also provide tools to measure results.”

“LSCS was quick to recognize the advantages ANGEL’s enterprise functionality provides as institutions work to enhance teaching and learning, engage students, and report outcomes,” said Christopher Clapp, ANGEL Learning president and CEO. “ANGEL Learning is pleased LSCS is joining the ANGEL community. We welcome them and look forward to their input into product development as an ANGEL community member.”

Lone Star College System’s five campuses (LSC-CyFair, LSC-Kingwood, LSC-Montgomery, LSC-North Harris, and LSC-Tomball), Lone Star College-Online, plus six outreach centers, and the LSC-University Center serve 52,000 credit students across 1,400 square miles each year. Lone Star College-Online supports over 16,000 students enrolled in online and web-enhanced courses.  In addition to offering numerous associate degree programs, LSCS offers continuing education and business training and through a partnership of universities and colleges unduplicated bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, and continuing professional studies to the college service area.
