Katherine Heigl Not Leaving Grey’s Anatomy

Katherine Heigl is not leaving Grey’s Anatomy like her co-star and friend T.R. Knight, an ABC rep says. Speculation about the fate of Heigl and Knight’s characters were sparked last season when the finale ended with Izzie (Heigl) and George (Knight) seemingly dying.

Earlier today, Knight confirmed he is leaving the show. A rep for ABC says Heigl is returning next season. The rep also revealed that Jessica Capshaw, who played Dr. Robbins, is returning as a series regular.

Grey’s Anatomy also stars Eric Dane, Patrick Dempsey, Ellen Pompeo, Sandra Oh and Justin Chambers.
