Janet Jackson at BET Awards, Pays Tribute to Michael Jackson

Janet Jackson paid tribute to Michael Jackson on behalf
of her whole family at the BET Awards last night. Many stars came out to
remember the King of Pop, who died Thursday of an apparent cardiac arrest.
Jackson was visibly upset as she addressed the audience,
thanking them for their support as her family grieves. “My entire family wanted
to be here tonight, but it was just too painful so they elected me to speak
with all of you. I would just like to say that to you, Michael is an icon. To
us, Michael is family, and he will forever live in all of our hearts. On behalf
of my family and myself, thank you for all your love; thank you for all your
support. We miss him so much,” she said.
The BET Awards paid homage to Michael Jackson beginning with
a medley of his songs from Jackson 5. Host Jamie Fox took the stage wearing
Jackson’s trademark red jacket and single white glove and imitated the pop icon’s
dancing and famous moonwalk. Other tributes included performances by Beyonce,
Ne-Yo and Bobbi Brown. Read more
