Kate Gosselin “Pleased” Jon is Forced to Return Money
Atlanta, GA 10/13/2009 07:42 PM GMT (TransWorldNews)
Jon Gosselin is being forced by a Pennsylvania judge to
return $180,000 of the $232,000 that his estranged wife Kate Gosselin claimed
he took from their joint bank account against their divorce arbitrator’s rules.
Kate said Jon took the money, leaving her with only
$1,000 to pay bills and buy food for their 8 children. In a hearing Tuesday, a
judge ordered Jon to return the money by their next hearing on October 26.
In a statement Tuesday, Kate said she is “pleased” the
judge ruled fairly. “As difficult as this has been for me, I am pleased that
the Court has ruled fairly on behalf of myself and my children. Now that this
matter has been ruled on, I look forward to returning to private arbitration,
as we have agreed to do, to resolve any remaining issues,” she said.
If Jon doesn’t return the money, he could be held in contempt
of court.
