33rd Annual, Dallas Margarita Charity Ball – Nov. 21st
World’s Largest, Invitation-Only Gala Benefits Dallas Children’s Charities

On November 21st, 2009, the Dallas Margarita Society, Inc. d/b/a Dallas Children’s Charities will host its 33rd Annual Dallas Margarita Ball. This annual event is the largest attended annual invitation-only gala in the world! The event will be held at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel, 400 N. Olive in downtown Dallas, and is scheduled to begin at 7pm and last until 1:30am.
“The reason we do this goes far beyond the spectacular Ball itself,” says Tom Ford, president, Dallas Margarita Society, Inc. “The Dallas Margarita Ball generates literally truckloads of toys that we give to thousands of underprivileged children in the Dallas/Fort Worth region during the holidays. We have an amazing time with our guests and supporters, but our festivities ultimately benefit thousands of kids in Dallas/Forth Worth each year.”
Admission is by invitation only, and each invitation admits two people only. Each guest must be at least 21 years of age and must have proper photo identification for admittance to the Dallas Margarita Ball. Each guest is requested to bring an unwrapped toy valued at $35 or more, or to make a cash or credit contribution of at least $35. All toys and proceeds are utilized here in North Texas. These gifts may be the only presents these Dallas/Forth Worth kids receive during the holiday season.
Dallas Margarita Society, Inc. and Dallas Children’s Charities enjoy the support of many personal and corporate sponsors who receive special privileges through their affiliation with the charity. Dallas Margarita Society, Inc. and Dallas Children’s Charities offer sponsorship opportunities for as little as $500. This year’s committed major sponsors to date are Diamond Sponsor (donation of $25,000 or more) Sauza Tequila and Ruby Sponsor (donation of $10,000 - $25,000) Hornitos Tequila.

ABOUT DALLAS CHILDREN’S CHARITIES
The Dallas Margarita Society, Inc., (d.b.a. Dallas Children's Charities) was formed in 1977 when a small group of business acquaintances decided to host a holiday party for associates and friends, and asked their guests to bring Christmas gifts for less fortunate children. DMS/DCC is a non-profit charitable organization whose goals are twofold. The first is to provide disadvantaged Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex children with gifts at Christmas time, and the second is to help those community organizations that work directly with underprivileged children throughout the year. Its annual Dallas Margarita Ball has grown over the years and is now believed to be the largest annual invitation-only charity black tie gala in the world, with over 11,000 guests, providing gifts for more than 7,000 disadvantaged children each year. Since 1977, DMS/DCC and its volunteers have contributed over one million hours of community service and more than 155,000 toys and gifts valued at more than $3,500,000. In 2008 alone, more than $694,000 in toys and cash was donated to “at risk” youth in North Texas and the charities and organizations which work with them on a regular basis.
DMS/DCC is unique in that it has no paid staff and no fixed overhead – all Officers, Directors, Members, and Directors Emeritus serve on a volunteer basis. DMS/DCC achieves its goals by hosting social fundraising networking events throughout the year, an annual golf tournament in early summer and the Dallas Margarita Ball early in the holiday season. Guests at the Dallas Margarita Ball are encouraged to bring toys or sponsor gifts with cash. Additionally, individual and corporate sponsorships are solicited, and through Sponsors’ generosity DMS/DCC provides operating support and scholarships to numerous community organizations.
