ICON plc, (Nasdaq: ICLR) $24.70. Today announced that it has signed an extension to its strategic agreement with Eli Lilly and Company (NYSE: LLY) to manage the company’s clinical data management outside the US. This extension means that ICON will now also manage Lilly’s needs in Japan in addition to those in Europe, Canada, Latin America, Australia and Asia, which was originally agreed in November 2008. Lilly also selected ICON to manage clinical trial site set up and monitoring in Europe for Lilly managed studies in June 2009.

 

What They Do: ICON plc is a global provider of outsourced development services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries.

 

IncrediMail Ltd. (Nasdaq: MAIL) $7.52. Today announced that it is further again increasing its 2009 performance guidance. 

 

The Company currently expects revenues of approximately $27 million, with an operating income margin of 40%, or approximately $11 million in operating income in 2009, as compared to revenues of approximately $22 million and $0.2 million in operating income in 2008.

 

The continued increase in expected revenues is driven by the growth in search generated revenues. IncrediMail’s expected increased profitability and higher bottom-line guidance, is a result of anticipated increasing revenues and effective cost management, maintaining an operating income margin of above 40%.



What They Do: IncrediMail Ltd. is an internet company that develops customized, downloadable graphic consumer applications used to generate search related revenues and designs, markets and delivers high end personal desktop software.

 

Tyler Technologies (NYSE: TYL) $19.02. Today announced that it has reached agreements with 23 Indiana counties to provide its property reappraisal services for the 2012 general reassessment. The combined value of these contracts, which have been executed over the last few quarters, exceeds $10 million. The revaluations are part of a state-mandated general assessment, which requires a property appraisal of real property in each county.

 

What They Do: Tyler Technologies is a leading provider of end-to-end information management solutions and services for local governments.

 

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ALNY) $17.04. Today announced that it presented new pre-clinical research findings from its transthyretin (TTR)-mediated amyloidosis (ATTR) program at the 60th Annual Meeting of the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (“The Liver Meeting”). Alnylam is developing ALN-TTR, a systemically delivered RNAi therapeutic targeting the TTR gene for the treatment of ATTR, including familial amyloidotic cardiomyopathy (FAC) and familial amyloidotic polyneuropathy (FAP). There are more than 100 mutations that have been identified in the TTR gene. ALN-TTR targets a region of the gene common to wild-type and all known mutant forms of TTR, and therefore, has potential as a therapeutic for all patients with FAC and FAP.

 

What They Do: Alnylam is a biopharmaceutical company developing novel therapeutics based on RNA interference, or RNAi. The company is applying its therapeutic expertise in RNAi to address significant medical needs, many of which cannot effectively be addressed with small molecules or antibodies, the current major classes of drugs.
