Jessica Simpson Calls Sister’s CW Show ‘Crap’
Atlanta, GA 11/02/2009 06:47 PM GMT (TransWorldNews)
Jessica Simpson is apparently angry with the CW for
dropping her sister Ashley Simpson from Melrose Place. The singer posted an
angry message on her Twitter page slamming the network’s writers for a “crap”
show.
“CW catching up on MP.who writes this crap?i have had bad
scripts to work with, but this?thank God my sister is amazing and got you some
press,” Simpson wrote.
Ashlee and co-star Colin Egglesfield were let go from the
drama last month. Melrose Place executive producer Todd Slavkin said that the
pair knew that they could be axed when they accepted their roles.
“We felt that once the murder mystery [involving their
characters] was resolved, the tone of the show was going to shift…and
[Simpson’s] character would move on,” Slavkin told Entertainment Weekly.
“Because they knew ahead of time [that leaving was a possibility], it wasn’t a
complete shock.”
