Ashlee Simpson to Star on Broadway’s Chicago

Ashlee Simpson Wentz is not letting getting axed from Melrose Place keep her down. Simpson Wentz, 25, has reportedly agreed to a stint on Broadway. Gossip Cop reports the actress is set to play Roxie Hart in Chicago.

Simpson, who played the same role in the 2006 London show, starts her 6 week Broadway stint in December. She has not commented.

Dancing with the Stars pro Cheryl Burke was recently rumored to be taking over the Roxie Hart role. A Broadway spokesperson has confirmed Burke will not be starring in Chicago.
