Gold Fields Limited (NYSE:GFI) has appointed Paul Schmidt CA(SA) as Financial Director. Mr. Schmidt's new position will go into effect as of November 6, 2009. He is a chartered accountant with over 13 years of experience in the industry. He has spent six years with Deloitte auditing mainly clients in the gold mining industry. He was appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer of Gold Fields Limited on January 1, 2009.
