Flower Foods (NYSE: FLO) has appointed Allen L. Shiver as the President of Flowers Foods. Shiver will assume the position on January 1, 2010. The company's Chairman of the Board, CEO, and President, will maintain his positions serving as Chairman of the Board and CEO. Shiver has over 30 years of experience at Flowers and most recently held the position of Executive VP and Chief Marketing Officer.
