It’s a workout, it’s a game, it makes your feet move in directions you wouldn’t think possible! It’s Dance Dance Revolution! With the holidays quickly approaching The Balancing Act went on a search to find one of the most innovative games on the market— the search ended when they found Konami, makers of Dance Dance Revolution! Grab your dance shoes and join The Balancing Act along with Konami as they air November 27th at 7:30am (ET/PT) on Lifetime Television.
Konami Senior Brand Manager, Lauren Faccidomo helps kick off the show by telling us about Dance Dance Revolution. Is it a workout? Or is it just a fun game? Lauren says, “Dance Dance Revolution was first introduced in North America and Europe in 1999 and is the pioneering series of the rhythm and dance genre in video games. Combining fitness with gaming has always been a part of DDR, and every year we seem to up the physical fitness aspect!”
Well, I guess that answers that! It’s fun AND it’s a workout all in one! It’s like sneaking in a fitness session with your kids—but they’re having so much fun they don’t even realize it! Genius! Dance Dance Revolution is something the whole family can enjoy together.
This year Konami came out with a Dance Dance Party Hottest Revolution 3 version that really takes the game to a whole new level. Lauren adds, “One of my favorite aspects to this new version is the fact that it is compatible with the *Wii Balance Board™! We wanted to develop something specifically for the ladies and by incorporating the balance board-- whereas you are really using your hips rather than the higher impact mat!”
With the hippest music from the Black Eyed Peas to Coldplay-- there’s something for everyone in the family to “get down and get funky” too!
Dance Dance Party is a sure fire way to get your kids off the computer and into the coolest form of working out they’ll never know!
